How To Maintain The Freshness of The Candlenuts During Shipment

We are committed to ensuring that our candlenuts (Kemiri) reach you in the best possible condition. Here’s how we preserve the quality and freshness of our raw candlenuts during shipment:

1. Optimal Drying

Our candlenuts are carefully dried to achieve a moisture content of no more than 5–7%. We use sun-drying or controlled oven drying methods to ensure uniform moisture reduction and prevent mold growth.

2. Secure Packaging

For bulk shipments, we use breathable jute sacks or high-quality polypropylene woven bags to allow proper air circulation.

For smaller retail packaging, we use premium food-grade vacuum bags and professional vacuum sealing to maintain the nuts’ quality and freshness.

3. Moisture Control with Desiccants

Desiccants are added to absorb any excess humidity during transit, ensuring the nuts remain dry and in excellent condition.

4. Fumigation

Prior to shipment, fumigation (typically with phosphine) is conducted to eliminate any potential insect infestation, complying with international phytosanitary standards.

5. Storage Inside Containers

We use clean, dry containers that have been inspected for leaks and water-tightness to prevent any damage during transportation.

6. Use of Pallets and Container Lining

Products are loaded on wooden pallets to prevent direct contact with the container floor.

Plastic sheets are used to line the container floor, further protecting the goods from any residual moisture.

7. Clear Documentation and Labeling

Each shipment is clearly labeled with “KEEP DRY” and "HANDLE WITH CARE" instructions on outer packaging to ensure proper handling throughout the logistics chain.
